»He is a bourgois, urban citizen with new self-confidence. He is well paid for his job. He has money and longs to own a beautiful penthouse on Friedrichstraße or somewhere else in the inner city. He loves urban density. He gives us hope for reclaiming the city, because he is well educated, cultivated, urbane, worldly, loves arcades, he is the social type of our time, he is the grown up Yuppie, Dink, Empty Nester, he stands in the tradition of Benjamin, Döblin, Kracauer, he is new….«
So new, that none has seen him yet. His attribute is that he is not here, but soon he will come, from the west. But the Urbaniten-Settler is already there. Through constructing the right buildings he hopes that the Urbanite will arrive soon.
