POST.TISCH
A transport of furniture from Linz, Austria to the Gallery Rampe 003 in
Berlin, with Peter Arlt, Benjamin Foerster-Baldenius and Andreas Strauss.
Delivery of parts: January 1st- 12th 2001. Reconstruction of parts: January
13th 2001.
Andreas Strauss had been running the bar »diebarbystrauss«
in an old abandoned factory in Linz, Austria from September 1999 until
January 2000. Furniture was made by cutting the wooden floor and folding
it up into tables and benches. After the bar had been closed down, we
cut the furniture into smaller parts, not bigger than a large letter and
not heavier than 2 kilogramms, and sent them to Berlin by post just before
Christmas 2000. The parts arrived in January 2001 in Berlin and were reconstructed
into a bench and a table in the gallery of »Rampe 003«. This
transformation of furniture was documented by Ella Raidel on video.
