EXCAVATION FIELD

The archaeology of the region, of Lower-Lusatia, and the city of Lübben is shown in the largest room of the former castle. This exhibition space describes a fictional excavation field and a landscape made of MDF, with display cases set into it. The visitor enters the space across a ramp up to the middle-age and moves through different time-layers down to the stone-age and the exit. The visitors experience the exhibits and how excavations work. The display-cases have drawers for the more interested visitor to touch and pull.
