GETCHAKONDU-WORKSHOP
University of Technology Berlin 2000, FG Prof.Kandel, together with Benjamin
Foerster-Baldenius
The students had the task to build a house in 47 hours on the campus of
the university. Twenty students worked in five teams, the carpenters had
to mask the branches of a big tree with 3 meter high Mahagony-imitation-chipboard,
the drywall-team built
a free standing, sculptural wall with an entrance, a bar and many other
fittings. One team took care of the building engineering and designed a
light concept. A textile structure with string-braced pressure-rods was
built by the team of the constructing engineers, which complemented the
47h-house. And one group had to coordinate the work of the other teams. |
